Benita is a qualified Skills Development Facilitator (SDF) with 4 years’ experience, working with different Sector Education and Training Authorities (SETAs). She is a qualified facilitator, assessor, and moderator with 20 years’ training experience, so she understands and can easily identify company’s training needs.
As an SDF, Benita is an expert in submitting applications for Mandatory Grants and Discretionary Grants to the SETAs on behalf of companies.
Registering the SDF with the SETA under The Client’s SDL number
Establishing a training committee and partaking in activities.
Be responsible for the planning of training interventions, agreed upon by The Client, training committee and the SDF.
Performing a skills audit and keeping records of all training taking place during the agreement period.
Negotiate with and select (with management consent) training providers, and record said training.
All attempts are made by the SDF to qualify the company for Mandatory and Discretionary Grants.
Identify information for the WSP (Workplace Skills Plan).
Obtain and record info on Employee Profiles/ Skills Audits.
Conduct training needs analysis (TNA)/ TNS questionnaires/ observation and interviews where appropriate.
Complete WSP and submit it. Including planning for operational requirements and PIVOTAL (official, accredited) training.
The Annual Training Report (ATR) is also included in the services provided to clients.
The administration and management of learnerships, PIVOTAL training can also be managed.
